Sandy Talley joined the Pooler Police Department in January 2003 as an Administrative Assistant. This was the beginning of her Law Enforcement Career. In 2005, Sandy was appointed to the position of Certification Manager for the department.

The Pooler Police Department was initially certified in 2003 and Sandy led the department through the Re-certification process in January 2008 and again in January 2011. Her other duties at the Pooler Police Department include Assistant Terminal Agency Coordinator and the Property Room Manager.

She is active in the Pooler Police Association where she is the Treasurer. She volunteers her time with the association through the many events they host though out the year. Sandy is a member of the Southeast Law Enforcement Certification Team (SELECT) which is a regional support group for agencies in Southeast Georgia that are beginning the certification process or need assistance. Sandy is also a Team Leader and a State Assessor for Georgia Association Chiefs of Police.

She lives in Pooler, Georgia with her husband Jerry. They have 4 children, Brian and his wife Tiffany, Amber and her husband Gary. She relaxes by spending time with her 3 grandsons that she is blessed to have in her life. She also loves riding the “Harley” every chance she gets.
