Scott Smith started his career with the Marietta Police Department in 1983 until retirement. He has served as a patrol officer, field training officer, STEP / DUI Task Force Unit, Certified Fatality Accident Reconstructionist, SWAT Team, MCS / DEA Narcotics Agent, Investigations, Internal Affairs, Sergeant, General POST Instructor, POST Firearms and Defensive Tactics Instructor, OC, Taser Instructor, Training Director, and Certification Manager and Assessor. Scott is currently employed with the Carroll County Sheriff's Office as the departmental Certification Manager with additional duties of Training Instructor, Neighborhood Watch Program, and the TRIAD Program. In 2010 he led the department through its initial State Certification. Scott serves as a State Certification Assessor and Team Leader and is a Board Member for GPAC with the duties of Technical Coordinator.
