Pam began her career with the DeKalb County Police Department in 1985 in the uniform division. She was selected for specialized assignments including the DUI Task Force and was a detective in both the Burglary and Homicide Units. Pam has been promoted through the ranks and as a lieutenant, has served as unit commander in various areas, including the Major Felony Unit. Since 2006, she has served as the commander of the Accreditation and Inspections Unit.

Pam is a CALEA and State Certification assessor. She attended Georgia State University before they had a football team. Pam, her husband Don, who retired from DKPD, and their son Nathan enjoy traveling, especially on cruise ships.
