Deborah Harrell began her career with the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office in 1994. While with Cherokee she worked in the jail, narcotics, court staff, patrol, internal affairs and accreditation. During her accreditation assignment Deborah led Cherokee through three reaccreditation on-sites and one state certification on-site.
In February 2007 Deborah accepted a position with the new City of Milton Department of Public Safety in north Fulton County. Currently a Division Chief, Deborah is in charge of all support service functions for both police and fire operations. Deborah will be seeing the agency through its initial state certification in 2008.
Deborah has a B.S. in Psychology and Master of Public Administration degree from Kennesaw State University. She is currently enrolled in the Carl Vinson Institute of Government Management Program and has completed the Professional Management Program. Deborah is a state certification assessor and CALEA assessor. Deborah is a past vice-chair of GPAC.
