Prior to joining the Johns Creek Police Department, Cheri was employed by the Alpharetta Department of Public Safety. In December 1996, she joined the Cobb County Department of Public Safety where she worked for 8 years as either an Internal Affairs Investigator, Recruiter, and/or Accreditation Manager. Her public safety career started in August 1991 when she joined the U.S. Army and served as a Military Police Officer/Team Leader.
