Special Agent Cindy Ledford began her GBI career in 1994 as an Investigative Assistant at the Region 8 office in Gainesville.  In 1996, Cindy attended GBI Basic Agent School as a Narcotics Agent and proceeded to work in an undercover capacity until March of 1998.  At that time, Cindy transferred to the Region 13 office in Perry where she worked general investigations.  In December of 2000, Cindy was named the Training Coordinator for GBI and was transferred to the Georgia Public Safety Training Center in Forsyth.  Cindy served in that capacity for just under two years before being transferred to the Accreditation Unit in October 2002.  Following the GBI’s second re-accreditation award in December 2004, Cindy was named Accreditation Manager.Cindy is a graduate of Gainesville College with an A.S. in Criminal Justice, a graduate of North Georgia College and State University with a B.S. in Criminal Justice, and a graduate of Columbus State University with a Masters in Public Administration.

Cindy resides in Stockbridge with husband, Andrew (also a GBI Special Agent) and son, Ethan.
